Just a reminder that the #USA still has an operating #POCSAG network, which lets you receive text messages without revealing your location. The problem with it is that the messages are unencrypted. So we need either a POCSAG receiver board that supports encryption, or a phone app that can #OCR what's on a #pager screen to decrypt it.

Busy night on the net in Ann Arbor.

Mondays 8pm has the ARROW net on 146.96- and the MichiganOne DMR Tech Net on BM TG 3126. The ARROW net runs 1 hr, the Tech Net runs 30 minutes or so and is followed by the MichiganOne DMR general net at 830p. Tonight after the DMR net closed there was a migration to BM TG 310. About 90 minutes of radio.

At the same time I was trying to convince my Flipper Zero to listen to pi-star #POCSAG paging. No luck yet though there is a demo at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOFdHKt75wY

DAPNET pager setup seems to be working, up to a point. I'm seeing messages directed to the "us-mi" gateway (good), and seeing transmissions on my pi-star (good), but the Flipper Zero isn't hearing them (bad).

My best bet is that the pi-star is a little off frequency compared to the Flipper Zero and that I'll need to tweak the calibration. Time to get the SDR out to see what I can see.

My device isn't receiving anything at all, even the time, so I want to try giving it a fresh kick / update the firmware to see if that helps.
