I have been watching various #isekai series lately and will probably have a rundown of them on #TheDistractionHole. Maybe even a kind of ranking of them. I see neat things in all of them but also I have my fair share of annoyances.

Alright. Any #podcast folks have some advice on getting sponsors for a show? I know a lot.of.it is based on numbers but I want to see where the process of sponsorship actually begins.

One thing we do for @supernatpod is offer $2 ad slots to independent creators of our own accord, but surely gaining larger sponsors isn't just a "they approach you" thing, right?

Below is an example of that. In red is % of responses that listed a particular item as an expense, in blue is what % of their budget they said that item comprised, on average.

If you're planning to start a podcast that involves money, here's a good indicator of how your peers divvy their budget. This isn't the whole story though, and I get into that on Discord.
