Of of my fave all time facts to find out about Paul O'Grady was that in the 1970s he married his Portuguese lesbian friend to prevent her getting deported.

Lily Savage was always on my telly as I was growing up. And from being a Northerner, to doing drag, to fighting for LGBT+ rights, to hating the Tories, to owning a farm and being a massive animal-lover.

What a legend.
