@enog I love lighthouses. But West Coast lighthouses have a “problem”: they're always in beautiful and interesting places, and I get distracted. 😄 We were planning to visit this lighthouse at Point Arena and then continue to Mendocino, but spent 3+ hours exploring Stornetta and never got to Mendocino. 🤷‍♂️

The bluffs at Stornetta were once coastal seafloor that was uplifted by the movement of the Pacific Plate millions of years ago, then eroded and collapsed over time to form the bluffs seen today. The top of the bluffs looks and feels like poured concrete.
