Finally sewed up the FR Duval shoes I just got as a possible replacement for my American made gaynor minders. For comparison, I put together my 8+ years of shoes with the ones from just this year as I search for shoes and deal with them wearing out.

Yes my 4 pairs of GM #pointeshoes lasted for more than 8 years closed to over 9. They are modern made and don’t wear out.
Then see the European made GMs that didn’t work, plus going to traditional ones that basically last 2 months for me (for many people a week, a month, a day) plus ones that just didn’t work out.
So that’s 6 pairs at at least $100+.

So I’m hoping these similar to GMs work. They are not quite in my size due to supply issues but I’m desperate. They are too wide and short.

In early January, I got approved to go on pointe shoes for the first time, at 32 years.

So last Friday, I walked through a mini snow storm (not uphill, though!) to go try on pointe shoes for the first time.
