Wild Turkey - I was nicknamed 'Captain Breadcrumb' by the rest of the crew because for the first part of the , I was the one consistently finding Wild Turkey. Here's a little video of a male displaying and female (towards the end of the video - after the dodgy bit of filming 😂 ). Watched at Point Pelee National Park

Day 4 of the and we spent a final morning at Point Pelee before moving on to Hillman marsh. A group of 19 Turkey Vulture rode a thermal along with 5 Broad-winged Hawk; Orchard Oriole was seen again and we had to have a final look at Prothonotary Warbler. Before we left the Park, news came of an unusual sighting. Many visitors headed for the spot but I'm glad to say the bird was not disturbed.

Day 3 of the trip to We got up early to ensure we could get to the tip of Point Pelee National Park (the southernmost point of mainland ) in time for . We managed it and saw a 'reverse migration' where birds appear to head south (instead of north). What an experience and our first good day of species. Fabulous.

Day 2 of the trip to and the wonderful didn't stop. The colours of common birds like Tree Swallow and Common Grackle never stopped catching the eye; more action - this time Red-bellied; and we just could not resist revisiting the Prothonotary Warbler. What a place!

On of my covid road trips within Ontario took me to Point Pelee National Park, and the southernmost point in mainland Canada. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take the ferry to Pelee Island.
