Heading to hockey... slipped on the polariser, as I noticed it helps with the reflections from the water turf :birb_idea:
My polariser hasn't been used in a long time, usually I take out reflections from cars paint, but am finding it useful to remove the glare from the hockey turf when shooting backlit... I never thought I would use for #SportsPhotography but it is working great!
(Obviously with a lens hood also)

A couple more of the Sandspit River from earlier this year. A polariser makes a big difference here where everything is wet and shiny, reflection off in pic 1, on in pic2. The ferns appear a more vibrant green (to me at least) with reflection removed.

Went for walk earlier in the year to try out the Rokinon (Samyang) 12mm with a polariser. Reflections on, reflections off. Without the glare, the colours seem to come through "truer" to my eye anyway, especially the distant greens and dry grassed hillside.

Did I mention decisions are hard? Last one, promise!
For total smoke of the whitewash, 60 seconds/iso320/f8 with polariser canceling and nd filter.
As an aside, these taken with a TTArtisans 17mm/f1.4 manual focus. Some CA and slight distortion corrected in post, otherwise I'm quite happy with it for a cheaper lens from China. (My header image also taken with it.)
