Because, it confuses it all. The Leclerc case @KylePowerF1 brings up is a good one. #Leclerc was fastest in #quali, but did not start on #pole due a penalty/tech failure/... sum it up. I indeed would not classify that as pole, but as fasted, but dropped down, so no #poleposition.

I agree with @antoniajrankin on #poleposition. It's a #teamsport (so tech fail/whatev, etc...), if you're not there on #sunday at the spot, you are not on #pole and it doesn't count. Then the stat is you were fastest in #quali - @MissedApexF1 https://youtu.be/kzd4Ghx3uWc

I got a joystick/paddle from #Sears, which I later modded to be a #DrivingController for my #Vectrex. Left/Right on the pot, 1 button left, 2 button right, 3 up and 4 down.
I could steer with the pot, accelerate/break with the buttons, shift gears with up/down.
Worked for #PolePosition and #HyperChase I guess😊
