All black Carpenter Bees (Xylocopa) in the garden. They go nuts for the sage we have (Salvia microphylla 'Hot Lips'). Zero pesticide + organic native garden = polinator heaven. Wanting privacy I read up on hedgerows that led to my interest in local ecosystems and #WildlifeGardening. Current project is removing my front lawn for new beds. #Rewilding Cost is an issue for me so I raise many from seed and use garden club plant swaps and sales. Here in Ohio, county soil and park districts run great sales in spring and offer many native plants.

This is where we ended around early June. Looking back through the yard from the original shot. We harvested more than I thought we could given the terrible nature of the soil. Our experience is it’s best not to allow it to climb into gutters (which it blocks) Or over tiled roofs (it pushes tiles apart)
