I'm on an Italian instance but the majority of my followers (at the moment) are English-speaking academics. Whenever I post in one language I'm wondering if that's going to annoy other followers. Is there a netiquette in this regard? Should one have a "main" language in which s/he toots and use content warnings for the other?

@SLdeLange so far most fields seem to go for โfield+donโ as the hashtag to find each other.
E.g. #histodon for historians. So #polidon or #poliscidon or something along those lines will probably be used?
But obviously feel free to stick to polisci or some other hashtag.
Thereโs also already multiple lists going around of academics that have transferred and thereโs tools that can scrape the data from your Twitter following to see whoโs already here.
Good luck and hope you enjoy your stay! ๐ฆฃ
