As was the rule in my house growing up, we all need to try and follow this one. If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. I for one am working hard to follow this one!

I don't necessarily want to advocate for abdoning all #politeness, but the concepts of "agreeing to disagree" and "biting your tongue" need to be re-evaulated as a form of #oppression for #marginalized people afraid of losing what little #power they may already have.
