The and advocating for MORE , for MORE use of are operating from a simple premise:

Once the ocean currents, seas, forests are - once countless animal, insect, and plant species are - they assume we won't care anymore and they will be able to squeeze out the last few billions of $$ to be made on despoiling the world.

(They're already starting to say "It's too late; we should give up.")

Do not underestimate the toxic impact of and .

Last we checked, is , so there is a great value proposition in 'ing , and then swooping in to save the day.

Also many parties at least in appear to be that don't offer anything truely different and appear to simply be trying to corner the market with a particular branding/#naming strategy.

How is diversity maintained in a competitive arena (be it Darwinian or political), when intuitively one would expect a single optimal strategy to succeed over all others? In simulations, stable clusters occur when there is an advantage to being different per se. Such models could explain , , or even . But confirming this empirically is a challenge.

Let us guess, two parties?

In we had a good where had "". They'd chose where a vote for them went next.

It lead to a great wave of votes you had to see to appreciate.

Also negotiating to be high on a party's Preferences was itself a process that commentators had to discuss, sometimes at length. And by looking at a party's Preferences you'd quickly gauge where they stood on a range of issues.

But in 2017…
