I'm currently reading Murray Bookchin's Post-Scarcity Anarchism (1971), and it's full of prescient bangers like this:

This was an absolutely smashing episode of Past Present Future (out of @lrb), which seamlessly interwove essays by Hume on suicide & national debt to illustrate key misreadings of the original position, and how the possibility of "debt suicide" reveals what we owe to one another.
