This is a little gem of polychromatic brick building that's seen better days (and despite being listed really looks like it's on its last legs). It's on Tobago Street in Calton, Glasgow.
It was designed by A Adam and built in 1905 as a store and stable for James Fraser, who was a rag and metal merchant.

The former Kelvin House warehouse in the west end of Glasgow. From Otago Street, this looks like a fairly typical red sandstone building, but from behind, you can see a great example of the polychromatic brickwork typical of Glasgow's older industrial buildings.

They may not be as fancy as the churches, banks, tenements and town houses for which the city is rightly famous, but these buildings are still an important part of Glasgow's heritage and so are equally deserving of our love and protection.
