@louis this may be a language issue but to me if it doesn't have a control flow it isn't "programming", it's web design or something else. Personally these days I might suggest or as a first language unless there's a platform-specific demand (e.g. for ). makes it easy to get into bad habits so personally I'd make that a second language. Definitely don't stop at one!

The closing paragraph of this post by Ola Bini from 2008 is the best sales pitch for Clojure (the post is not about Clojure)
