Has anyone who is bad at managed to get good at naps?

I am a chronic and late riser, I am trying to wake up earlier on a regular basis, and I might benefit from being able to take a short midday nap.

But howwww?

(Yes, I'm familiar with and the concept of biphasic or sleep. I've been terminally online for 28 years, so please only reply from personal experience, thanks.)

I have just finished the last of the 2021/22 tax returns

There are 2 more cases on my list, and I have zero records from them. After 31 Jan 2023 they will no longer be clients.

There are another couple of cases which I need to lose as well, too little info, too late

In the past 10 days of continuous work (Sat and Sun included) I have done about a month's worth of regular work.

I use to cope with that.

Locking up, going home, and to bed!

You joke, but as a kid I got really into sleep schedules with the goal of cutting the amount I sleep—think of all the exciting things I could have done! (or, back then, all the extra games I could have played)

It doesn't seem to work, long term, sadly—people tend to get sick and then crash and make up all the time they "saved" in less sleep
