@CFoix @moonjoey I’m looking at it from a social perspective. I don’t care what people believe about their reality. But the #popcryptids aspect does not always go back to zoology. See wendigo lore, and mothman, or calling anything rare but “sentient” a #cryptid. They are disconnected from zoology. So traditional cryptozoologists exclude them from the definitions. Yet they exist in pop culture.
