Just heard the ep of #PopCultureHappyHour on S2 and I have feelings. Normally I agree with a lot of their takes and appreciate their relative complexity. But all the reviewers said S1 was better and didn't like the greater emphasis on romantic plots in S2. All of them were fans of the book (not unrelated point). All of them liked the vibes of S2 and some liked its attention to the, let's say, challenges of Christian doctrine regarding guilt, innocence, sacrifice etc. But ...

@benetnasch I listened to a random back episode interspersed with #PopCultureHappyHour or various fiction pods (#Tanis!) back when I used to be able to spend a few hours on my feet in the kitchen cooking. Now that I'm ill, I can't do that as much, and find it hard to do pods when not cooking. It's weird. Let us know which eps you like though!
I love listening to NPR's #PopCultureHappyHour but sometimes think they should just change the name to "Is It Racist?" - as that's what half of every episode seems to come down to.
