23/7: I spent the morning on the sea - another trip on 'Kelly's Hero'. We spotted an early returning Purple Sandpiper and Mediterranean Gull before we'd left #Brixham Harbour.
Short-beaked Common Dolphin, Harbour Porpoise, Manx Shearwater, Gannet, Kittiwake, Fulmar were the highlights out in Lyme Bay.

Dolphins are near extinction in the Bay of Biscay, Atlantic Ocean, due to fishing nets there. Each year they kill between ten and eighteen thousand, by mistake.

Any within 50km we're almost certainly deafened.
There is a hypothesis that deafening of #cetaceans can lead to beach strandings, would be interesting to find out if they increased after this explosion ..
