Low resource societies would benefit us in many ways. Most apparently, we would have control over development, we would encourage studying code and enable increased flexibility.
A major problem with this, is that todays portals are incompatible with low resource usage.

The new Google seems to be designed to make you spend more time on it - I'm not even sure that it would generate more clicks as a lot of info is already on the results page. But too often it goes for a popular, unrelated, result.

Stuff that I might fix:
-A particle's source is drawn with a radius around its center, not respecting the portals
-Mergers can happen across walls/portals
