Most languages named  after the  goddess Venus or the  goddess Frigg. Other languages just call it the fifth day or  "sixth day". In  is the "day of gathering" but for in Icelandic is the "day of fasting".

Portuguese: I started w/ Rosetta Stone, until a colleague in Lisbon told me I was learning Brazilian and that Euro Portuguese has many differences. I'd read then to NOT use DuoLingo, since it is strictly Brazilian. So I dove in to Drops and Memrise, setting each to European Portuguese. That was probably a few months to get through.
