I know very little about #PostageStamps and #Philately in general, but periodically I sit down to fiddle with my collection and am almost always struck by how relaxing it can be.

The whole thing started with inheriting my parents' small collection of Vatican stamps (a nun had charmed them into a stamp subscription), that were floating around unloved in drawers. I've shown it some love and care, and bought more.
Then someone gave me part of a collection she didn't want. You can guess the rest

In the early 1990s, Seafirst Bank's "Versatel" ATMs in Puget Sound area used to sell First-Class postage stamps as well as (pro-rated) monthly Metro passes (only at select ATMs in downtown Seattle).

I thought it was a cool idea and I used them regularly but it did not seem to catch on beyond Seafirst.
