I never miss a chance to #vote as I believe that you need to be a part of the #political process to have agency within it.

A VOTER in Dumfries has gone to the Electoral Commission (EC) after he received a letter from Tory MSP Oliver Mundell inviting him to complete a postal vote application form and return it to his office – and not to the “preferred address” of the local Electoral Registration Officer.

For those voting in the local elections in #England you will require #VoterID or will be turned away.
For those who don't drive or don't have passports, you can still apply FREE until 25th April to the Electoral Commission.

The same Electoral Commission that refuse to censure the #TorySewageParty for sending out ID applications with return address of the #ToryParty offices.

You don’t need photographic ID for a postal vote. Don’t ask me why, but you don’t!

If you haven’t got photographic #VoterID and you are otherwise eligible to vote, please please apply for a #PostalVote or else you will be turned away at the polling station on 4th May. The deadline for applying to most councils for a postal vote is early next week and it’s a paper application.

I wish none of this was necessary, but I want everyone who can vote, to vote. We are all active participants in democracy.

Absolutely, a further loss of #democracy with no sign of #PR from any of the major parties.

People who have ready access to suitable #VoterID : the wealthy (passport), people without disabilities (driving licence), and as you say the elderly.

#Tories are scared of the young, less affluent, & disabled voters. I wonder why?

@catbuttes I quite like the bit where they suggest you apply for a #PostalVote if you don't have #VoterID & barely mention the data collection company that has the contract to issue the free voter ID cards.

Both my wife and are postal voters, no voter id needed for that #AFAIK
