@wasted Yes, I envisage using gabions for any vertical structure (beams & walls). If used underground, best surrounded by rubble for drainage. Once built, easy to reinforce with found fence, wire, etc.

@wasted I've become obsessed with gabions made with found metals and concrete rubble as a significant post-collapse building framework for the future. They hold up hiways (commonly!) and large landscape elements... and a neighbor's earth shelter. Anyone can build them chunk by chunk. I am imagining...
