time for another #introduction! I’m a PhD candidate in #comparativeliterature at Yale. My dissertation is a cultural/literary history of the Caribbean 1960s-70s by way of regional and Pan-Caribbean festivals. I’m really interested in comparative and multilingual approaches to the Caribbean, and resisting the anglophone dominance within #CaribbeanLiterature. Looking for connections with other folks interested in #translation, #postcoloniallit, #coldwar, and #globalsouth stuff.

prepping for my #PostcolonialLit class where we are (still) reading Attia Hossain’s Sunlight on the Broken Column & came here to say how deeply I dislike the recent UK cover of the book (purple) for its exotic/Orientalist leanings. The Penguin India cover is so much better.
