I recently implemented an admittedly crude, but functional server-side encryption feature on my mailserver with gpg, And it makes me want to actually do that mastodon-backed email inbox idea I had. But it has me wondering... How exactly would I do that? Obviously generating and storing private keys in the server is a bad idea... But expecting someone to bring their own PGP keys is *quite* the ask too. Is it possible to create PGP keys with PBKDF or something along that principal? Storing key material encrypted by a user's password alone seems weak.

A hilarious #job "offer" by #CanadaPost. They are looking for a #postmaster in remote #Atlin, #BC. The pay is only about $660 a week - but the employee must pay for #rent, #heat, repair, insurance, everything of the post office (a facility they must establish first). Plus, a month before employment begins, they must already provide the facility. Atlin is at the #Northern edge of BC, so heating costs are serious. Whoever takes that "job" is a #philantropist or an #ID10T.

Hey #infosecPeople & #postmaster & #emailExperts what would be the best (as more stable/safe/RFC-compliant…) #DMARC filter for #postfix ? (inbound, obviously)

Until recently I was using policyd-spf as a policy service + #openDKIM & #openDMARC as milters and now I've disabled policyd-spf to do #SPF checking inside openDMARC.
I'm contemplating the idea of switching to Fastmail's authentication_milter but it looks like a very high maintenance piece of software.
Tell me about your choice(s)!
