We would need an improved social contract to set the legitimate ground of the contemporary society, keeping the big players in check, not to criticize the modern society as #postmodern thinkers have done. Their works have done playing their roles already, and keeping them alive does nothing but leading us to the place where they should have wanted to avoid in the first place: totalitarianism, led by technology.

Now a question for the philosophy community.

D&L talks about three kinds of machines: 1) The Territorial machine, 2) The transcendent imperial machine, and 3) The Modern Immament Machine.

Does anyone care to explain this because it is both weird and hard to understand?
