New whip day! I've had this computer for over 2 weeks, and yet to boot. A combination of being too busy, tired, fighting the family cold, plus a general avoidance of things I'm "too excited" about. Is this an ADHD thing? Avoiding things/experiences we are really looking forward to? The anticipation of all of the setup, choosing a name, being faced with actually "doing something" with it, setting up fresh new config/dotfiles, getting emacs ready (I mean, that could swallow an entire day, if I allow it). The pressure to get everything set up "just right". Everything I just mentioned is fun for me, not a chore in any way. Yet, I avoid & accumulate guilt, not gratitude, for having such a nice machine & ignoring it. Somehow, today is the magic day, though. I told myself no more Tetris (current hyperfixation & safe activity) until I at least turn it on. It worked. Cute pup for attention.

This is , a pup we rescued two days ago. She became separated from her Mom during some heavy rains and was just lying alone on some gravel. She’s eating well and doing just fine.
