It's too bad the 2 apartment buildings next to the 20th St overpass of 280 don't have connections to the overpass. It'd be much easier for those #Dogpatch residents to walk to #PotreroHill.

But for those who may not be familiar, #sfmta is planning to tear down and rebuild #PotreroYard, which is trolley bus maintenance and parking facility that occupies a whole block on the border of #PotreroHill and the #MissionDistrict.

The facility was built in 1915, and expanded several times, but it is grossly outdated and prevents Muni from using it to its full potential.

How much longer? The Sep 2002 issue of The Potrero View had the answer: the 1970s!

It’s the kind of tidbit that is unlikely to make it to a major newspaper. I found it quickly because 342 issues of The View are hosted by the treasure that is @internetarchive.
