I analyzed the latest Microsoft #PowerApps and #PowerAutomate licensing changes and wrote a summary blog post to help everyone get on track.
While #Microsoft has attempted to simplify the product pages for their Power Platform offering, yet underneath there is still some complexity that you should be aware of when designing and managing your #lowcode solutions.

New month, new #PowerPlatform licensing guide.๐คฉ
It seems that the new "Power Automate Process" license is just a more expensive option for anyone who wants to do API based automation with cloud flows and not RPA.

Ah, #PowerPlatform licensing is being simplified once again.๐
The Department of Renaming Things at #Microsoft has been hard at work. As a result, established SKU names for #PowerApps and #PowerAutomate will see a few updates. I've analyzed these over on LI: https://ff.tips/PPSKU

When building #lowcode apps, especially the #citizendevelopers might want to adopt collaboration practices that are familiar from the world of documents.
The new Comments feature in #PowerApps and #PowerAutomate looks simple enough to adopt. Yet I'm not entirely comfortable with the security implications as well as comment data management.
I wrote a blog post on the feature from the perspective of #PowerPlatform governance and administration: https://ff.tips/GovComm

Such a fine example of #Microsoft shooting themselves in the foot while chasing for additional licensing revenue.๐
Basically every customer that I talk to says licensing is their biggest concern around #PowerPlatform usage. The requirements imposed 1y ago on licensing service accounts that run #PowerAutomate cloud flows will do far more harm than good to MS business.
Here are my earlier thoughts on it: https://ff.tips/FlowSA

I'd never call myself a #Microsoft365 Developer. Yet the Dev program offers great benefits for #PowerPlatform #lowcode makers and admins, too.
In this blog post I demonstrate how to get your persistent dev tenant and deploy the #CoEStarterKit tools for learning #PowerApps / #PowerAutomate governance scenarios: https://ff.tips/M365dev

Somehow #IFTTT is still getting worse.
I beg #PowerAutomate to be more mobile friendly, but it's good at these sorts of things, I use an email system for weather notifications through it and it works well.
What #automation platform with free Mastodon support can you recommend?
I need RSS input, text manipulation (url encoding, regex or text replace/substring/indexOf functions)
I used Microsoft #PowerAutomate before, but webhooks connector is premium only. #IFTTT doesn't have enough options for text conversion/filtering, if I checked correctly.

@maxleibman Those connections need to be created for all apps that use the credentials of the user, so it applies to #PowerApps canvas apps specifically. If you'd run the data retrieval/update in the background with #PowerAutomate, a single account could do it. However, if a connector DOES support OAuth2, meaning user specific credentials, that's generally a very positive thing. You don't really want stored credentials shared by all app users if you can avoid it.
I'm searching for a way to move my @GenealogieNews@twitter.com #bot to the #Fediverse.
At the moment it's fully automated by #PowerAutomate reading a google alert #rss feed, doing some filtering, correcting formatting and stuff and posting it to #Twitter.
As "Uncurated news bots posting from third-party news sources" are prohibited from botsin.space I was searching for a way to add a manual mobile confirmation before posting. Any ideas how to do that? Is this possible with #IFTTT maybe?
