For the past three days I have been using my #GPD #WinMax2 as my daily driver for work, hooked up to my main monitor. It's been working *very* well so far, using a lightweight #Debian #VM on my newly built custom #NAS as the remote development environment helps a lot too. Not that the WM2 wouldn't be able to handle my workload, but it's nice to have a more capable machine comfortable handle it instead, keeping the WM2 cool and quiet.

why doesn't xfce4-power-manager reliably turn off or put to sleep the display even though there are no input events or video playback happening? how can we find out which process is resetting the idle time counter? #xfce #linux #display #powersaving #powermngmt

This reminds us of a problem we've heard about. Look into the #powerSaving measures. Search "#wifi #ubuntu power-saving" maybe "intermittant" also.
There are step-by-step articles out there that explore many reasons. Look for the power-saving one.
We have our fingers crossed for you.
