The thing I hate most about this subject of #transwomen in #powerlifting is the way we constantly break it down into a physiological problem.
Just from my experience:
1. The stress of transitioning and dealing with the problems that come up from it impede your progress.
2. Nobody knows how to train my body. Nobody knows how my hormone regimen is going to affect my performance. And when I tell people what I think works best for my body, they tend not to listen to me.
Today's a bit of a nervy one for me. I'm slated to match my all time 1 rep max with squats at 565 lbs. I'm feeling confident with it, I've been working on weak links since I tried this weight last time (December, wow).. last time I gave it a go I hurt my back. I slept well enough last night, I don't have any pain, I'm feeling strong, I think I can do it, but damn it makes me nervous! Wish me luck! I did 555lbs 3 weeks ago, so I think it's fine. #powerlifting
Jeez #powerlifting training on a cut sucks. This next couple of mesocycles I'm trying some minimum effective training dose stuff to see if that plays nice with the reduced calories, but damn...
Also cuz I'm an extremely impressionable pleb I'm throwing in some lengthened partials onto the end of my accessory work. Pulse reps at the end of a set of Bulgarian split squats is some fresh new hell.

I decided to make a plate loadable dumbbell that's hard to grip and which I can load to more than I can pick up. 2" A513 tubing (1/16" wall thickness), shaft collars. Another day I'm going to load this to ludicrous weight but I'll mostly just use it for rows and curls and maybe eventually some other nonsense while developing grip a la Fat Gripz #weightlifting #powerlifting #strengthtraining

Not a lot of direct #powerlifting stuff in the past couple days. I've been trying to use spring and summer to bring up some other exercises like pull ups, front squats and overhead press. Mostly cuz I wanna get better at them but also cuz hopefully they will help out with my deadlift, low bar squat and bench.
Those front squats have been rough lately. Trying to push into serious repping over 405lb is proving to be quite the challenge. Is it just weak quads? Or is it an upper back thing?

Since the #powerlifting hashag is pretty dead, I guess it's on me to be the change I want to see in the world. Full disclosure; I'm a self taught schlub so take everything i say with a boulder of salt.
A few weeks ago I finished my last accumulation block with a knee tweak so I took that as a cue to lay off the high rep squats for a while. Now's as good a time as any to start chipping away at that 700lbs deadlift goal.
