@tardis I loved it! Surely not the most subtle of stories, but it managed to tie all those disparate elements together and still turn it into a satisfying conclusion of Thirteen‘s character arc. She was so very much in character right up to the end. All the nostalgia stuff enhanced her final journey, rather than distracting from it, which is quite the achievement.

Oh, and of course, it made my cry. Again. That damned show!! #DoctorWho #PowerOfTheDoctor

Hmmm. New steelbook smell...

In fact, it's my first ever steelbook. Still not a huge fan of this being the only way to get all three specials together but it sure is a beautiful package thanks to Sophie Cowdrey’s astounding art.

So once more I've got every (existing) Doctor Who story. At least until next year.

Genuinely feel a bit dim for only *now* realizing that when Kate makes all her friends get to safety while she stays behind with a secret self-sacrificing plan to deal with the Cybermen *of course* Tegan can't do it and goes back for her.

Because she can't do that *again.*
