@sassageflare well, that's why I I'd use a #PCIe "#Sideplane" [#Backplane] because this way one can freely choose between #amd64 / #ARM64, #SPARCv9, #ppc64 and #riscv64 for their Host System....
But admittedly, modern high-end systems are kinda "boring"...

first experimental big endian #powerpc #ppc64 iso is available: https://repo.chimera-linux.org/live/testing/chimera-linux-ppc64-LIVE-20230620-gnome.iso
here is it running from usb on my 2005 #powermac g5
keep in mind it's a tier 3 architecture, so don't expect perfection
the repo is now experimentally available (tier 3) on big endian #ppc64 #powerpc, for now outside the common infra (thanks @AdelieLinux for the compute resources necessary for the initial repo build, they were most helpful)
buildbot, isos, (maybe 32-bits too?) etc. coming soon
#pinebook #a64 #powermac #ppc64
I would love to run FreeBSD for #PowerPC64 on my Power Macintosh G5 dual-proc. I fear that most of the ports will be little-endian, but there is some hope here for big-endian #ppc64 systems. #powerpc
