[Paper of the day][#20] Do you know how your #CPU's #branch #predictor works? What if I tell you can use the Branch Predictor to detect #malware? In this paper, we show how we can use branch predictor's internal states as fingerprints for known malware samples. In addition to predicting the next branch, we can make it to predict malware execution. Much better: without imposing additional overhead. We present a two-level architecture in which current #antivirus (#AVs) are complemented by this #hardware-assisted solution. Take a look.

Shield games kick-off at 1:30, so Predictor entries close then.
Index is undecided on a couple of games - Ross Sutherland v Dalziel & Cumbernauld v Bishopton.
However a few of those Shield games will be tighter than the Index suggests.
