The focus now is on Verified Users - #X #Premium users, so they have already paid subscription fee and provided data, this will be yet another step toward continued inclusion on the site. Will MMM and other heavy footprint organizations finally leave the site? Importantly, how can instances such as ours encourage more individuals and organizations to participate here. There is no push without pull.

Q: Why do ad-free tiers of subscriptions keep getting expensive?

A: It's math.

Say, a streaming service has 10mn users and makes ₹1000mn by showing them ads. Their ad-revenue per user is ₹100.

That means, ad-free tiers need to be AT LEAST ₹100 per user.

Suppose they price their ad-free tier at ₹110, which 5mn users take up.

But now, advertiser's only have 5mn eyeballs i.e. HALF the original reach.

So, advertisers up their offer to ₹120 per user.
