Am I making a mistake by building an #OLKB #Preonic?

Sadly I'll need to use both a staggered QWERTY keyboard and the OLKB and I am worried I am just gonna ruin my typing discipline.

I recently got a #Preonic [60-key rectangular grid #keyboard] with Data General Dasher-style keycaps, and it is beautiful, but it didn't want to work with the 18" (45 cm) USB C-to-C cable I had in my bag.

So I bought a blue (Dashers are blue) 3' C-to-C cable. Except it's 6'. 😭

It matches and looks great, but oh so long.
