One of my favorite projects while running the CMNH prep lab was extracting a small skull from this block of Coelophysis fossils. This was one of the original jackets collected from the first excavation of the now famous Ghost Ranch quarry in New Mexico (Block XII if memory serves). It was prepared over 8 years by long-time CMNH volunteer Dale Zelinski. Dale passed away in 2019 but his work lives on.

This photo is from my previous stint as the fossil preparator for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. In this image I was doing some repair work on a 4-foot-long fossilized skull of Dunkleosteus terrelli before it went on exhibit.
