Why Two Is One And One Is None:

Got a USB-C 5V 1A -> Li-ion charger, it's a tiny BMS, 5V out with low voltage cutoff.

Fitted it & HUGE 18650 into the cheap 3V shaver which I'd bought it for - success! It worked!

Plugged in the USB & - it charged! Then closed the cover & the magic smoke came out. Why? Metallic (Not Mylar!) label inside the cover shorted the board.

Luckily I'd bought three. STUPID label is now removed & satisfyingly shredded.
