A #copycat that only copies the last 10 years behaviour will not gain insight into the core #motivation & #experiences that led up to & followed my #samadhi 12 years ago, providing the basis for everything that followed.

160 followers · 856 posts · Server mastodonapp.ukOne thing I dislike about #prequels is how so much tension is sapped out of dangerous situations by knowledge of the fates of the characters involved. Like, I *know* #Spock is going to be fine and keep all his limbs, 'cause of COURSE he does.
One of the things I absolutely love about #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds is how they've taken that inherent problem with foreknowledge of the characters' future and turned it into a compelling and interesting plot line. It's an absolutely genius move!

Otherwise just check out the final chapters from the timestamp - it gives a good overview of the key points, with some flashbacks to the time when #Prequels were released, and a good takes about how they include a commentary on the modern-day politics:

I love the different poster styles throughout the decades. The Anakin with the Vader shadow is perfection. I will always have a soft spot for the #prequels despite their goofiness. What can I say? I was the target audience when they first came out (I was 10).
