I went to the Rossettis exhibition at Tate Britain on Wednesday and really enjoyed it. Obviously the paintings of #DanteGabrielRossetti took centre stage, but it was also the biggest display of works by #LizzieSiddal his wife in decades, and it mentioned the work of his siblings – quotes from Christina's poems were on some of the walls.
One that really struck me was In An Artist's Studio, about the artist showing the model 'Not as she is, but as she fills his dream'

It's ferkin expensive in my opinion, but we see so much 'free' #art in public museums that I think we can justify the outlay.
I've got a love/hate relationship with the #preraphaelite movement - we'll see if I'm moved either way when we go.

Thomas Chatterton became an accomplished poet & managed to die in literary, opium-fogged poverty all by the age of just 17. While walking with a friend in St Pancras Old Churchyard, he fell into an open grave. His friend, helping him out, joked about assisting in the resurrection of his genius.
