I'm like how come #preregistration couldn't consist of public conversations had about a project before and during it as a process of gradual enrichment? we would need more of a "document and comments" model where the OP is intended to be stable and updated, and maybe a schema or two to prompt for different fields, but it seems like we could make them generative and maybe a little fun by making them a part of normal communication rather than yet another highly formalized labor burden.

I know #preregistration of studies, especially in clinical trials, has already become the norm. I came up with the idea of some platform to preregister studies (of all kinds) and store such information in a blockchain to make it genuinely immutable (probably one of the few situations where the usage of a blockchain makes sense).
