Whenever I get a #prescription filled, they always end up refilling several days earlier the next time, which makes sense because you don't want it to go down the wire and take a chance of running out. But over time, the buffer of extra pills build up. I have over a month and a half supply on many of my meds now.

The lawsuit claims Purdue Pharma L.P. and Purdue Pharma Inc. #deluded_doctors and #patients in Colorado about the potential for #addiction with #prescription opioids and continued to push the drugs.

And it comes amid news that the company’s former chairman and president, Richard Sackler, has #Patented a #NEW_DRUG to help wean addicts from opioids. “Purdue’s habit-forming medications coupled with their reckless marketing have robbed children of their parents, families of their sons and daughters, and destroyed the lives of our friends, neighbors, and co-workers,” Colorado Attorney General Cynthia Coffman said Thursday in a statement. “While no amount of money can bring back loved ones, it can compensate for the enormous costs brought about by Purdue’s intentional misconduct.”

How the misleading marketing of one pain pill helped get America addicted. The lawsuit states that Purdue Pharma “downplayed the risk of addiction associated with opioids,” “exaggerated the benefits” and “advised health care professionals that they were violating their Hippocratic Oath and failing their patients unless they treated pain symptoms with opioids,” according to the statement from the Colorado attorney general’s office.

8/13 They don't even take the basic step of ensuring that I actually have access to that phone number. They could place an automated call to it and read out a security #code that you needed to enter to finish activating the account.

Hell, Google used to call me with a login code at every login before I set up TOTP authentication.

But this pharmacy chain doesn't do that. As soon as I selected my phone number, I was logged in, with full access to all of my #prescription information.

Is there a technical reason that would make rendering display images with a personalized prescription difficult?
