If you think the point of presentation design is to put a script of what you are saying on the wall, then you are doing your audience and yourself a disservice.

Is listening not the point of presentations? If so, then why force your audience to read the whole slideshow while you say it aloud?

You only show contempt for your audience by slapping paragraphs up on the screen, then boring them to death by reading at them.

It's little wonder that people hate presentations, since many take the most uninspired way to do them.
