Things making me angry today:

1. People abbreviating "and" to "x" instead of "+". STOP DOING THIS.

2. Companies who think the dimensions of their product are irrelevant and couldn't possibly be important enough to include on the product page (I'm talking about YOU, #Presonus).

I posted earlier about playing #Hi-Res #Lossless tracks in #AppleMusic on my #MacBook and the #LosslessSwitcher app available on #GitHub to make this as simple an experience as possible. I was questioned about my audio interface - I use the #PreSonus #1810c audio interface. It has standard support for 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192 kHz sample rates at both 16-bit and 24-bit. This is a wonderful interface if you want to record in Hi-Res too.

@nibor Yeah all the composer tutorials and composer kids are using Cubase. They have no idea how awesome Studio One is now. I don’t even try to shake that tree anymore. They don’t care and that’s fine by me. Track presets are a total game changer for real modular templates. Astonishing what they have done.

Well, in the immortal words of Soul II Soul, "Back to life, back to reality". The Xmas break was lovely but already seems a long time ago. Got a new custom-built computer which... wow... has made such a difference to my music production workflow. Can't believe the difference it made. Also got myself a #presonus ATOM, which is great.

The downside is that I really don't want to work anymore. Wish money wasn't a thing so I could just spend all my time making music (even if only I like it!)

Everytime I start to record my voice it's so much fun.❤️🎶🎧
but listening to your dry voice often not so much... Who knows that feeling too? 🙊🙈

2. #Behringer #UMC22 & #Gear4Music SZM-11 dynamic mic.

Really not sure how best to treat a bass / baritone vocal and, like many others, I hate the sound of my own voice! I'm exploring #Toontracks #EZMix Vocals Toolbox.

- N’utilisez pas le câble jack-RCA, la qualité du son se dégrade nettement
- Achetez de quoi les réhausser ou les incliner vers le haut pour en profiter au mieux
- Achetez deux câbles jack TRS 6.35mm pour les utiliser avec une carte son car ils ne sont pas fournis

Fun with digital EQ, cleaning up a very annoying 100Hz PL tone and enhancing the voices coming from last night's net.

I thought it was a 90-99Hz hum, but a ham friend explained what it was, which made me go, DUH. :flan_eyeroll:​

Also, gate-expander on the channel itself, to clean-up a bit of hum from the radio. Will have to dig into that further.
