They employ a array of tricks, #pressReleases and #indoctrinattion disseminated in media and #hollywood is huge. They will often try to turn people against healthy things in Hollywood and steer people towards #snaleOil with supposed #health or #financial benefits in #forcedNews media.

The #children are most susceptible but a willfully ignorant adult is more dangerous.

#DogWhistles are #doubleBluffs to #trigger people.

There's apparently a part of our brain dedicated to #fear of #scarcity. Psychoanalysts often work with govts and #advertisingAgencies to illicit that, often #irrationalFear to illicit a particular response.

By the way most of the so called #news in #Australia is glorified corporate #pressReleases, and tabloid tripe.

Not just in the Murdoch media but even from Australia's #nationalBroadcaster, the ABC. Because ABC reporters clamour to get a role in corporate media. They do 'real news' extremely poorly these days - almost never.

If they have to do #realNews they bury it deep in the recesses of their publications.

We don't really have a method for disempowering those that deserve less power. Ignore them, and if they are well-connected, as they often are, they will produced countless #pressReleases for the local (, often) #corporateMedia, #virtueSignal and demand actions etc.

It takes a strong stomach for a #policyMaker or #politician to say, "we recognise and value the work of X, but at this time we need to devote #resources to other matters".
