I really love pansies. I marvel at the colour variations, and adore their sweet little faces. I went on a flower drying spree last spring with a microfleur microwave flower press. Now I just need some craft projects that use pressed pansies!

Pressed flowers from around 1990, on mustard-gold linen. I don't make them anymore since I only have a deck garden these days. I sold or gave away most of the really good ones but I got my mom's and brother's back when they passed on. This one was a gift to my brother and sister-in-law.
Flowers include statice, violets, Queen Anne's lace, coral bells, lobelia, and yarrow.

Small, medium and large flower presses. The tops and bottoms are wood, with wingnut screws in each corner. The flowers are placed between pieces of paper and then between layers of cardboard, and the screws are tightened daily until the flowers are dry. #PressedFlowers #flowers #crafts #gardening

Nigella damascena, aka Love-in-a-Mist, is an annual. Its flowers nestle among finely-cut, feathery foliage that forms a mist around them.
