Just noticed this in Xcode 15 beta 6 release notes. Here’s the error that I’m getting, which seems to be about the same thing, when trying to preview a view in a package.

What does this mean? Previewing SwiftUI views inside Swift Packages is no longer supported? 😵‍💫

It works fine in Xcode 14.3…

Why don’t my widget #Previews work? It complains my timeline entries don’t conform to AnyView, which doesn’t make sense.

Do I need to be using the AppIntent-based widget configurations?

TIL. If there’s a view that’s used as an overlay, and the overlay is sometimes empty, previewing the view directly has erratic behavior.

If the view is meant to be used as overlay, you can also preview it as overlay, giving you predictable behavior even if the overlay is sometimes EmptyView.
