Classic Rainbow Washing – Part 2

The George Street branch of #TheBankOfScotland, in the centre of Edinburgh displayed an Intersex Inclusive Pride flag for approximately one week.

Which was about long enough to show visitors to #PrideEdinburgh that they are… ahem… “inclusive”.

Remember that LGBTQ+ Owned Businesses support and champion our community for 365 days a year, NOT just for seven!

I'm a middle-aged, middle-class, middle-income, middle-of-the-road, cis, straight, white, English guy. I'm about as straight as they come. And yesterday I joined a very large and very colourful crowd at Pride Edinburgh, to support my LGBTQIA+ friends and family members.

I should have been going for years: It is completely, utterly, wonderful.

As @PrideEdinburgh marchers walked up the Royal Mile today, religious protestors waved signs proclaiming that marriage is between one man and one woman...the crowd drowned them out, covering their sign with a trans flag & shouting "You are loved". #EdinburghPride #PrideEdinburgh #press
