Swantje meint: #PriestOfCrowns ist ein bombastischer und sehr passender Abschluss. Wer die Vorgängerbände und vor allem den einprägsamen, dreidimensionalen Protagonisten mag, wird auch hier voll auf seine Kosten kommen.

Auf #PriestofBones folgt #PriestofLies, keine Ahnung, warum Peter McLeans #DarkFantasy Hommage an #PeakyBlinders so wenig Beachtung findet. Bislang bietet auch Band 2 flott lesbare #GrimDark - Unterhaltung.

Finished #PriestofBones! I really enjoyed this smart und very entertaining mash up of Swords, Spies, #PeakyBlinders and Magic. Beware no shiny heroes, the story touches critical topics like #childabuse and #trauma. While a lot of blood is spilled, the author deals with difficult issues in a fundamentally thoughtful and, in my experience, realistic way.
Frankly, I like #PriestofBones more than e.g. #LiesofLockeLamora.

Right now, I‘m quite enjoying Peter McLean’s #PriestofBones novel, it‘s a #grimdark #postwar #fantasy story - which reminds me a lot #PeakyBlimders with a lot of blood(shed) and low magic (so far).

Compared to other recent fantasy books, I think, it‘s pretty well written.

If I want to do something similar on my gaming table, I would probably use #SwordsoftheSerpentine or #DuskCityOutlaws. #BladesintheDark might be an option for others.
